Sports Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist
Having played competitive sport since an early age I understand the frustration of a sports injury or issue that you cannot get rid of. I have also had sports injuries which stopped me playing for a period of time.
I wanted a career where I could support individuals with sporting injuries and injury prevention to help them overcome them. Being a sports therapist helps me achieve this.

I have also had sports injuries which stopped me playing for a period of time. I qualified as a sports therapist at University College Birmingham and gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy. This is a challenging qualification to achieve but I really enjoyed it. As part of my degree I studied various modules such as sports massage, rehabilitation, biomechanics of the body, strength and conditioning and anatomy. Whilst in Birmingham I provided sports therapy support to the University football team and also Edgbaston tennis club. I was also asked to assist with the sports therapy support for the National Jujutsu championships and post-race at the London Marathon 2 years in a row which has to be a career highlight to date.
Following qualification I returned to my home town and took up a position within a local sports therapy practice. This role gave me the chance to treat a variety of patients as well as some sporting stars. In 2016 I moved to Royal Wootton Bassett and joined Cirencester Sports Massage as well as setting up my own sports therapy business. I am now the owner of Cirencester Sports Massage and I am looking forward to working alongside the Dyer St team.
The biggest job satisfaction I get is from patients who come to me with long standing issues that I have been able to help resolve. It is hugely rewarding receiving positive feedback from patients who have let me know that their treatment has been successful.
When I am not working you will find me playing tennis for Royal Wootton Basset Tennis Club and swimming every week to keep my fitness up. I also love spending time with my boyfriend, family and friends. /p>
