What is your favourite type of patient?

I love working with people who are ready to take an active role in their recovery. Whether it’s back pain, hip and groin issues, lower limb injuries, or complex rheumatological conditions, I get most excited when patients are curious, motivated, and up for doing a bit of “homework.” If you’re the kind of person who’s tried everything and still looking for answers, you’re in the right place.

How are you different?

You won’t find a 5-minute “crack-and-go” approach here. My standard sessions are 30–40 minutes long because proper assessment, rehab, and education take time. I’m hands on, but also rehab-focused and I regularly take patients into my gym to build strength, confidence, and lasting results. If you’re looking for quick fixes, I might not be for you but if you’re ready to make a real change, let’s get started

Where did you train and what was the course like?

I studied at AECC (now known as Health Sciences University), one of the UK’s leading chiropractic universities. It was an intense five-year course that sparked a passion I still have today. In fact, I loved it so much I now lecture there, helping to shape the next generation of MSK clinicians.

Tell us about your career so far

After a year in the student clinic in Bournemouth, I headed to Essex for private practice, then moved to Cirencester to follow my dream of opening a clinic of my own. Thirteen years later, Dyer St Clinic has grown into a thriving multidisciplinary centre with a 22-strong team.

I’ve completed a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Rheumatology; one of the first chiropractors in the UK to do so, and co-hosted The Back Pain Podcast, featured on BBC and Radio 4.

My career has always been about pushing MSK healthcare forward through collaboration, education, and patient-first care.

What is your style of practice?

I treat differently to many other chiropractors, focussing largely on exercise based treatment alongside manual therapy rather than purely manipulation. (My treatment room has a squat rack and treadmill).

I am Rehab-led, strength-focused, and always built around what matters to the patient. I love working with performance-minded patients, and have a soft spot for making older adults stronger through our Age Strong protocol; helping reduce falls, improve balance, and build confidence. I often hear, “You’re not like any chiropractor I’ve seen before”, and I take that as a compliment.

What will we find you doing outside of the clinic?

When I’m not in the clinic, I’m either spending time with my family, reading, visiting the gym, or out running a silly long distance

What are your aims for the future?

I’m aiming to grow the Dyer St model into multiple practices so more people can access truly collaborative MSK care. I’m also considering a master’s in medical education or healthcare management—and I plan to complete a full strength and conditioning qualification to further support my rehab-focused practice.
