What will we find you doing outside of the clinic?

I’m a very active individual and have taken part in CrossFit, triathlons, and half and full marathons. I’m always on the lookout for a new physical challenge. In 2018, a friend and I completed a military-style 24km race up, over, and back across Pen y Fan in Wales—each carrying a 20kg backpack—and we won our age category. More recently, I’ve completed the Race to the Stones 100km ultramarathon and the Cotswold 113 middle-distance triathlon.

I strongly believe in living an active, healthy lifestyle and do my best to promote this to others. While some of the events I’ve taken part in may seem extreme, any form of physical activity can bring meaningful physical and mental benefits. Staying active plays a key role in both preventing and managing the musculoskeletal issues I treat—and more importantly, it helps people keep doing the things they love.

When I’m not training, my upbringing on a farm means I’m pretty practical—so I’m often busy with home improvements or helping out on the family smallholding.

More recently, I’ve taken up what may be the most frustrating activity of all: golf. I’m now a member at Minchinhampton Golf Club and trying to enjoy the challenge!

What can I help with?

My training as a chiropractor has given me in-depth knowledge in diagnosing, treating, and managing both acute and chronic neck and back pain.

That’s not all I do, though, I regularly see patients with certain types of headaches, as well as shoulder, hip, and knee dysfunction. I have a special interest in diagnosing and managing sports injuries and in supporting people with arthritic joints, particularly of the hip and knee.

Another passion of mine is helping people continue doing the activities they love. I aim to provide practical, personalised guidance to help people manage their bodies and maintain long-term function.

What are your aims for the future?

I want to continue developing my knowledge in diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions, staying up to date with the latest evidence-based approaches so I can offer the best possible advice and care to my patients.

I also want to keep learning and promoting the value of an active, healthy lifestyle because the benefits for musculoskeletal health are huge.

And of course, staying fit and training for future challenges will always be a big part of my life, I’m sure there are more events on the horizon!
