Sports therapy at Dyer St Clinic is about helping you perform at your best, whether you’re a seasoned athlete, weekend warrior, or someone dealing with a long-standing injury. Our goal is to restore function, prevent future problems, and support your return to full activity with confidence.

FAQ’s
Is sports therapy only for people who do sport?
Sports therapy is for everyone, our most common complaints are back pain, neck pain and shoulder aches/stiffness.
Does sports massage hurt?
It does not have to hurt to be effective. Yes when muscles are very tight and sore, treatment of them can sometimes be sore but this will be tailored to your needs by our expert team. Prefer a gentle treatment, just ask, alternately if you prefer the extra pointy elbows and thumbs then just let us know!
Do you cover insurance?
We cover most major insurance companies apart from BUPA,, however all polices vary slightly. If in doubt please contact your insurance company to check the required process.
How many treatments will I need?
This is varied an depends of your age, length of time you’ve had the condition and how good you are at implementing life changes we suggest! On average our patients recover in 5 treatments.
Will I see the same expert every time?
Yes, excluding extenuating circumstances once you are booked in with a practitioner you will stay with them for your course of treatment. If they feel your needs will be better suited with another practitioner this will be discussed with you.
Do I have to go up a flight of stairs?
We have one treatment room up a single flight of stairs. If you are unable to use a flight of stairs, please let us know and we will ensure you are booked in an downstairs room. Please note our bathroom facilities are upstairs.
What do I have to bring to my appointment?
We will need to know any previous surgery, illness, your past medical records as well as your current state of health including any medication you are taking. Any previous scans, X-rays, letters or investigations are always helpful. If you are intending to claim for treatment using private health insurance it is useful to bring the details with you.
